If you want to learn how to get rid of warts on hands then we have to start by looking at how they get there in the first place. We are all vulnerable to the HPV virus that causes warts to start growing under the skin. Warts can quite literally appear anywhere on the body and the virus can spread in your bloodstream and manifest anywhere on the body. Different strands of the virus will be more likely to form on different parts of the body where the conditions are ideal for it to start growing.

The good news is that we all have a natural defense against warts. Our immune system can fight off viruses. This is not always the case though since viruses “get hold of us” every now and again and the common flue virus is just one good example. Lapses in your resistance can cause the dormant HPV virus in your body to start manifesting on the surface of the skin.

So, why are warts on hands so prominent?

Since our hands is the part of us that is in constant contact with the world its subject to a lot of viruses all the time. Our hands are also constantly subject to small cuts and cracks and this can allow the virus to enter the body – often without you even knowing it.

Another major cause is that of contracting the virus from someone else. The habit of shaking hands and holding hands is common in our culture. Since the HPV virus is highly contagious its no wonder that it can spread easily from person to person.

How to get rid of warts on hands
The most common methods are that of burning off the wart or freezing it off. Both these methods are best performed by your doctor . By burning off the wart with a laser it allows the doctor to burn all the way down under the skin and kill off the entire wart. By freezing it off, he or she can use a liquid nitrogen solution to burn deep under the skin but it offers far less control over how deep it goes.

Both these methods will leave scars and although it usually gets removed under a local anesthetic it can be relatively painful. It can leave you unable to use your hands properly for a few days until the wounds start healing.

The downside of these methods is that it does not always remove the entire wart and it could grow back. It can also be very expensive. The results are very quick though which is one of the major advantages.

By opting for a natural or home remedy you will probably not see instant results but its very inexpensive and won’t leave any scars. The results you get with home remedies vary greatly from person to person. You can opt for the duct tape method, using citric acid from lemons or garlic extracts – all do work to a certain degree.

Your last option is just to leave it and allow your body’s natural defenses to take care of it. The real danger is the fact that warts are highly contagious and you can spread it on yourself. Since your hands are constantly touching the rest of you body, its not uncommon to spread it on yourself. This is why warts on hands can be so dangerous and why you need to get rid of them as soon as you possibly can.

These are not the only ways how to get rid of warts on hands. If you are concerned then its best to speak to your doctor since more severe breakouts can quickly become a big problem. A few small warts can be controlled with home remedies or with over the counter products.

Warts can appear anywhere on the body. Although certain things can trigger warts to start growing, its always caused by a virus. How to get rid of warts on feet presents two major problems that related to how feet warts are different to warts elsewhere on the body. Warts tend to be classified by how they look and certain types of warts tend to appear only on certain parts of the body.

Warts on feet is mostly plantar warts. These are the biggest and probably the hardest to deal with. They grow rapidly, don’t spread as rampant and can be incredibly uncomfortable. The skin on the soles of your feet is the toughest skin on your body. Its really thick and tough and allows you to walk barefoot without getting hurt. The problem then is when a wart starts growing under this tough skin.

As the wart starts growing and starts pushing outwards it pushes this tough skin with it. This can be very painful. On top of that it will also feel like you are “stepping on” something like a small pebble. The painful part is the fact that the wart is trying to penetrate the tough skin from underneath. Plantar warts don;t grow on top of the skin. The biggest part is the part you cannot see underneath the skin and that is the part we have to get rid of.

Plantar warts have a root-like structure that can grow deep into the skin. When removing it you have to get rid of it root and all otherwise it will simply grow back. How to get rid of warts on feet? Here are 3 possible solutions.

1. Surgery
The most common way to remove large plantar warts is by getting it cut out. What’s great about this is the fact that it can be removed instantly and if the doctor does a good job it can remove the problem almost immediately. The problem however is that it can be very painful and having a big hole cut into your foot is not at all pleasant. It can knock you out of action for a few days and you will probably not be able to walk on that foot for a few days. Surgery can also be an expensive solution since wart removal is generally considered a cosmetic procedure and many health funds won’t cover the costs.

2. Cryotherapy
One of the most common ways to remove smaller warts is to simply freeze them off with a process known as cryotherapy. By applying a liquid nitrogen solution straight unto the wart it will “kill” the wart by freezing it at very low temperature. Applying liquid nitrogen on healthy skin will be incredibly painful and can burn a hole right into your skin. By applying it on the wart however you can kill the wart. Although there are many DIY kits you can buy over the counter, its likely to be ineffective for a large foot warts. It is however a viable solution if you get your doctor to do it for you.

This is a relatively inexpensive option but the results may not be that great. If you do not use it as instructed it can be painful and you may have to use it several times to get the desired results.

3. Siliac Acid
This is one of the newer wart removers and its an acid that acts very much the same way as liquid nitrogen does. It will burn the wart off but its much gentler on healthy skin. By applying a Siliac acid solution straight onto the wart it will start to kill the wart and slowly but surely the wart will start to peel off and die. This works very well on small warts on the hands but may not be that effective on large plantar warts. Again, the problem is the fact that these warts can be so tough and dealing with the tough layer of skin on the sole of your feet can be a challenge.

This is a slow option. It can take up to 12 weeks for this to work and on a larger wart it can take even longer. For smaller ones on your toes or for ones on upper parts of the foot this can be a great option.

4. Natural Cures
Resorting to surgery or some product is not the only options you have. You can use home remedies and natural cures as well. The benefit is that its incredibly inexpensive and it rarely has any side effects like harsh chemicals may have. Its not always that effective though and different solutions will give different results for different people.

These are just some of the most common strategies on how to get rid of warts on feet. It can be a very uncomfortable problem and unless you act fast these types of warts can grow into a big problem fairly quickly. The secret is to act fast and stop it while its little.

There are many wrong perceptions about what causes warts. Warts are formation of hardened and raised patches on the skin that usually differs significantly from the original skin color; it is usually seen as an “overgrowth of skin”. Warts are not caused by any normal body reaction or medicine side effects; but rather a small microscopic bug, known as the “human papillomavirus (HPV)”.

Though, warts are benign in nature, means non-malignant or non-cancerous, but of course, warts disfigure the affected area greatly. For example, other people might hesitate to touch or shake hands with the affected person.

Warts differ from moles. Warts tend to me small, rough lumps, and can be of skin color. Moles are dark, and can be quite large. Warts usually appear on the affected person’s fingers, hand and feet.

- What Causes Warts:
The “composition” of a wart can be different in different places on the body, depending the thickness of the skin where it is located. Warts located on the sole of the foot are known as verruca.

When the virus infects the top skin layer, usually through a tiny nick or scratch, it causes a fast growth of cells on the outer layer of skin (the epidermis), resulting in a wart; HPV causes keratin to grow too fast on the skin. Keratin in a hard protein found in the epidermis.

HPV can be spread from various places, from door knobs, keyboards etc. All of us encounter with the HPV, but only some people acquire skin warts while others don’t. It is because certain individuals who get infected with the virus, have immune systems that are not able to keep the virus away. It is still a mystery to tell exactly why the immune system is different in some people who get skin warts frequently. Children often tend to get skin warts more often than adults; probably because their immune systems have not yet built strong enough against the numerous strains of HPV.

It is also seen that warts occur commonly on multiple siblings of the same family. If a person had warts in his childhood, his children are also more susceptible to warts.

- The Transmission Of Warts:
Warts are transferred by means of skin contact, like during shaking hands, and also from inanimate objects, like towels that have been used by another infected person. The virus flourishes when it finds a small scrape on the skin. Sometimes, nicks and cuts during shaving also provides a platform for the spread of the infection.

- How To Prevent Warts:
The best way to prevent skin warts is to avoid contact with the virus.
* Wash your hands thoroughly and regularly.
* If you workout in a gym, ensure usage of clean equipment.
* Wearing rubber flip-flops or sandals to protect in the public or gym shower.

The alternate way to prevent skin warts is keep the skin cut-free, healthy and well-moisturized, and avoid having fissures or open cuts on the skin, as these nicks and cuts might provide a portal for the virus to penetrate the skin. Also, during shaving, use a sharp razor that won’t cut or tear or the skin.
.

Wart removal home remedies provides a great alternative to expensive surgical procedures or harmful chemicals. Warts are the skin growths that can vary in size as well and shape. They can be found anywhere on the body like face, neck, sole of the feet, around the vulva and vagina in women and penis and scrotum in men. Warts are caused by Human Papilloma Virus, which is transmitted directly or indirectly from an infected person.

Though warts do not cause major symptoms apart from slight itching and affecting the appearance of the affected individual, it becomes important to treat them as they are highly contagious. They can spread to other parts of your own body and also to other people. Different options for treating warts are available ranging from home remedies, cryotherapy to surgery. Wart removal home remedies are an effective and natural way to get rid of warts.

Some of the wart removal home remedies that not only treat warts but also prevent them from recurring are:

1. Castor oil: Castor oil is one of the most common home remedy for wart. Apply the oil on the wart and keep it overnight. Continuous use of castor oil for several warts helps in removing the wart.

2. Juices: Apple and pineapple juice are effective in fading away warts. Apply pineapple or sour apple juice to the wart thrice a day for one month.

3. Garlic: Crush the garlic and apply it to the affected area. Leave it there for few minutes and then remove it. Cover the wart with a bandage and keep it overnight. This allows the garlic oil to work on the wart. Wash your face in the morning. Repeat this method for few weeks as it loosens the wart which then falls off.

4. Tea tree oil: Tea tree oil is one of the effective wart removal home remedies. Regular application of tea tree oil will dissolve the wart causing it to fall off.

5. Figs: The milky juice extracted from fresh figs can be applied directly to the warts. Repeating this home remedy a number of times in a day effectively removes the warts.

6. Apple cider vinegar: Another natural way to remove the warts from the body is use of apple cider vinegar. Daily consumption of one spoon of potassium rich apple cider vinegar helps in getting rid of warts. Apple cider vinegar can also be applied directly on the wart with cotton. Apply bandage to the cotton soaked with apple cider vinegar and leave it whole night. This home remedy has to be used regularly for few weeks.

7. Nail polish: Application of nail polish forms a thick coating on the wart and cuts off its oxygen supply. This causes the wart to wither and die.

8. Dandelion flowers: The roots of this plant secrete a powerful white coloured milky fluid. Rub that juice or fluid on the wart and keep it for some time before rinsing. This has to be repeated three times a day, which then causes wart to dry out.
The above mentioned wart removal home remedies are easy and simple to use. These safe and natural home remedies for wart are holistic way to treat as well as prevent warts.

The minute you find out you have genital warts, make sure to get the appropriate genital wart treatment right away. For one, they can be highly contagious and so can multiply to your other body parts really, really fast. Or worse, you might even pass it on to your partner which can be totally embarrassing.

For men, they usually appear on the tip of the penis or at times in the scrotum or anus; while for women, this type of warts usually become visible in the vagina and the uterus’ cervix; or sometimes can also be seen in the anus. If you have some, do not ignore it or you might end up having either cervical or anal cancer if you are a woman or perhaps anal cancer and some sexually transmitted diseases if you are a man. Consult your doctor right away but here are also some of the known secrets about genital wart treatment:

1. Doctor-Recommended Quick-Fix Solutions
Doctors may advise you to apply Imiquimod or Fluorouracil cream on the area that is affected. Other times doctors would also prescribe application of trichloroacetic acid or that of the podophyllin solution to be rinsed after. Some may prefer using the Wartrol, Amoil or Dermisil genital wart creams and others just about any cream they are given in the drugstores.

2. Surgery
If what your doctor has prescribed does not work at all; the doctor would more often than not, recommend that you go through a surgical procedure to remove such genital warts. Cryosurgery is the most popularly known surgical procedure used for removing warts especially in the genital area. It is in fact, liquid nitrogen frozen to annihilate the warts and therefore, stop them from further multiplying. But then there are also instances when the doctor would recommend use of electrosurgery which is a type of surgery that uses burning electric wires and are applied on the affected areas.

3. Laser Therapy
Laser therapy on genital warts has become so popular as it effectively gets rid of the warts. This can be attributed to the infrared which allows for a bloodless procedure when removing your genital warts. But then, this genital wart treatment should not be used if your warts are the small type. What is more, this procedure can be quite costly as well that is why not anybody can just opt for such method.

4. Surgical Excision
This type of surgery involves cutting out the skin where the warts have grown. In other words, the skin that holds all the warts will be cut and removed. But this can only be used if your warts are large enough to be pulled out. You will only need to consider your ability to heal wounds before deciding to have your warts surgically excised.

All these four techniques of genital warts removal have been proven to be effective in one way or the other. What is important is to find out everything you need to know about your warts so that you may know which could be the most suitable treatment for you. In that way, when you consult your doctor and he presents to you your options, you will be knowledgeable about each and therefore, know right away which one is the most suitable for you.
What is more, there are the risks of developing some scars or blisters in the face which can really be annoying. These warts are actually caused by a virus that can be passed on from one person to another. Make sure you stay healthy at all times so that you will not trap the virus responsible for such warts.

1. Avoid Contact
Stop using anything that a person afflicted with face warts owns. Never borrow towels or soap for warts can easily multiply and transfer from one individual to another. Be scared about having to deal with such skin dilemma not just for months; but for others, for years. If you notice your there are warts emerging in your face and they are painful and bothering you already, then immediately consult your doctor.

2. OTC or Over-the-Counter Medicines
There are countless of over-the-counter creams and solutions that are recommended for wart removal. Salicylic acid is just one of the most widely used all over the world and is in fact, very cheap. All you have to do is apply the solution using a cotton ball until the wart die down by drying up. Expect one to three weeks waiting time before the warts will totally be purged because extinction will depend on how large or small your warts on face are.

3. Tea Tree Oil
This essential oil has been proven to remove face warts effectively. After simply applying the oil using a cotton ball on the affected areas, or perhaps dropping a trickle of the tea tree extract, you will notice warts on face gone in a few days only. The same goes for the grape seed extracts which you need to drop once or twice on your warts for more than a few days. The thing about using these natural remedies is that they will usually take longer; but then, the point is you are using natural remedies sans all the adverse reactions and irritations.

4. Home Quick-Fix Remedies

• Garlic is a favorite home remedy for warts removal. All you will need to do is crush a clove and apply straight to the infected area in your face. Leave it there for some time until you feel the burning sensation goes away. You will know that the garlic is working on the bacteria when the pain is there. Cover with a plaster and wait for the wart to dry up and fall on its own after a few days of waiting.

• Banana is another home remedy that can eliminate your face warts. Simply get a banana peel and rub it on your warts. Or better yet, cut banana peel into a small cube to cover the wart overnight by putting tape in it.

• Apple Vinegar
Last but not least, apple vinegar has been confirmed helpful in removal of warts especially on the face. Simply soak your cotton ball into the solution and likewise tape overnight covering the wart. You will be surprised how such simple management of your warts can make them go away in no time at all!

Is the so-called duct tape warts removal really a legitimate way to get rid of warts or is it just another gimmick? Ever since this method was featured on a popular TV show its been all the craze and anybody and everybody who has a wart is trying it. Before we get carried away, lets at least look at it and see if there is any potential with this wart removal technique.

As we know by know, warts are caused by a virus, the HPV virus and even though we can carry the virus we don’t always have warts. The warts often appear underneath the skin when conditions are “ideal” and it can grow in different shapes, sizes and forms.

One common misconception when it comes to wart removal is the fact that we cannot kill this virus. All we can really do is to remove the SYMPTOMS of the virus (which is the wart itself). From this point of view the duct tape warts method has some merit and can indeed be useful.

Firstly the duct tape helps to suffocate the wart and prevents it from growing further. Warts usually appear on areas of the body where the conditions allows for it to grow. Areas like the soles of your feet, between your fingers, on your palms and even the groin area can be ideal places for the virus to flourish. Duct tape can indeed hinder the growth and when you close the wart up with the tape you effectively change the “growing” conditions.

Secondly, the duct tape warts method is effective in that it helps to remove the dead layers of skin caused by the wart. As it grows under your skin it creates a lot of dead skin that bundles together. This is often what creates the size and the uncomfortable bumb.

By using the duct tape warts method you can gradually remove layer after layer of dead skin and in the process you will gradually remove the wart itself. This is by no means a quick fix as it can take a couple of weeks for it to start working effectively. Also, it does not work on every type of wart and I would NOT recommend you try this on any sensitive part of your body. Its probably best used on areas like your feet or your hands and fingers. Avoid using it on your face or on other sensitive areas as it can be a health hazard.

For this duct tape warts removal method to be effective I would suggest you combine it with something that actually targets the virus itself. The duct tape is great to strip away the dead skin cells, but its not all that great in attacking the cause of the dead cells.

Genital wart removal is indeed a very sensitive issue. More than anything these types of warts are often confused with a sexually transmitted disease and most people tend to freak out when they first discover them. Like any other form of warts, they are caused by the HPV virus and in this case it affects the skin in your groin, genitals and/or anal area.

Genital warts look different from other types of warts. They vary from white patches, to small blisters to grouped growths that look like cauliflower. In some cases you cannot even see them but only feel the symptoms. Itchiness, sensitive skin and even bleeding are all symptoms of genital warts.

The treatment for genital warts is similar to that of most other warts. Due to the sensitive location some of the harsher methods aren’t possible. Freezing, burning or laser surgery are the most used but there are quite a few other options. In many cases they will go away by themselves but it can also go the other way and spread rapidly. You have to keep a very close eye on it and if it gets worse you need to see your doctor as soon as possible to discuss the best treatment for you.

The best methods for genital wart removal is with natural and homeopathic treatments since they are gentle and won’t leave scars. Also, removing genital warts with surgery can leave horrible scars and can be extremely painful.

The HPV virus cannot be killed and warts cannot be “cured”. All we can really do is to treat the symptoms – which is the actual wart. By removing the wart we remove the symptom but the virus can remain in your bloodstream and reappear in the future.

Although these types of warts are mainly spread through sexual intercourse you can still get it without your partner having any visible signs of it. When the virus gets spread you can break out and get it. The best defense against this is to always have protected sex with new partners. There is also a vaccine called Gardasil which can protect you against 4 different types of the HPV.

Genital wart removal is not nearly as effective as most other wart treatments and in an estimated 30% of cases it returns. Not all treatments are equally effective for all people. If one treatment failed for you, try something else. In the end it’s always wise to get rid of warts since they are highly contagious and can spread very quickly.

Plantar warts is but one of the 5 varieties of warts that can infect your skin. While the most common place for warts is on your hands, those that grow on the soles of your feet is known as plantar warts and they have subtle differences from other varieties of warts. Plantar wart removal is probably the most challenging simply because it’s on your feet and the constant friction can hinder any attempt at removing it.

Warts are caused by the HPV virus that infects the top layer of skin. Because the soles of your feet is such a tough skin, the warts that form on that skin can be very tough, hard and persistent. Above all, these plantar warts are very uncomfortable since they tend to grow quite big. It often feels like you are constantly stepping on a pebble.

So, what’s the best treatment for plantar wart removal? Obviously surgery is the first thing that comes to mind, but the problem is that cutting it out will leave you unable to walk for a week. The cut is usually quite deep and often very painful.

Doctors are increasingly moving towards non surgical treatments. Cryotherapy is probably the most popular which is basically a liquid nitrogen solution that kills the wart by freeing it. In most cases you don’t even get a local anesthetic for this procedure. There are quite a few over-the-counter versions of this treatment available but you should note that is still takes time and that it can be painful.

The most popular form of plantar wart removal is with Salicylic acid – an acid that’s safe for healthy skin, but it kills the HPV virus and thereby your wart. This acid is very hazardous and can burn a hole in your skin. This that are administered by doctors are usually much stronger and obviously works much faster. However, this acid treatment needs to be administered regularly as a single application is rarely effective.

Fortunately there are quite a few versions that you can buy in your local drug store. It’s not nearly as strong but it is safe to use at home. A typical treatment takes anything from 2 to 12 weeks and the major benefit is that it’s completely painless and scar free.

These 3 plantar wart removal methods are not the only ones, but they are the most effective. Often times these warts will go away by themselves as your body’s natural immunity rejects the HPV virus. If your wart is getting bigger or if it’s particularly bothersome then you should get it removed a.s.a.p. Remember that warts are contagious and can spread on your own body as well as to other people you have contact with.

Warts are as common today as they were a hundred years ago. The virus that causes warts to grow under your skin is actually very common and all of us are in contact with it all the time. The reason why most of us never even get warts growing under the skin is because the body has a natural anti body that fights the virus. In some cases however our natural defense is not sufficient and the wart gets a chance to start growing.

Warts are highly contagious and more so on your own body than from person to person. Getting a wart on your foot can quickly spread to your hands and before you know it one small wart became a whole army of them. Fortunately getting rid of warts is not nearly as tough as it was ten years ago.

In the olden days doctors would simply resort to cutting out the wart. The problem with this is that they has too cut very deep to make sure they remove the entire wart as even a small part left under the skin can quickly start growing again. This also left scars and the hassle (and expense) of surgery just made it less than ideal.

Because of this many pharmaceutical companies started developing wart removers. They come in different shapes and sizes but the majority of them are designed to kill the wart from the surface of the skin.

These wart removers are either home “freezing kits” or they are topical treatments. Both are extremely harsh and can burn right through healthy skin and be extremely painful. You should take extreme care when using any of these products. Here are some simple tips you should keep in mind:

- always protect the healthy skin around the wart and only apply the specified dose
- when the wart starts peeling off, don’t try and rip it. Leave it to fall off by itself.
- the normal period of treatment is 9 to 12 weeks before the wart will be gone completely. Don’t get impatient.
- When the wart starts bleeding or if it looks like it gets infected you should stop using it immediately and visit your doctor.

Wart removers are harsh on your skin and basically kill the wart by burning it down. Natural wart removal methods are much more gentle and instead of trying to kill the wart from the surface, it works on stimulating the body’s natural defenses. In many cases it works faster, costs less and is much gentler on your skin.
.
