Wart Removers and How To Use Them Safely

Warts are as common today as they were a hundred years ago. The virus that causes warts to grow under your skin is actually very common and all of us are in contact with it all the time. The reason why most of us never even get warts growing under the skin is because the body has a natural anti body that fights the virus. In some cases however our natural defense is not sufficient and the wart gets a chance to start growing.

Warts are highly contagious and more so on your own body than from person to person. Getting a wart on your foot can quickly spread to your hands and before you know it one small wart became a whole army of them. Fortunately getting rid of warts is not nearly as tough as it was ten years ago.

In the olden days doctors would simply resort to cutting out the wart. The problem with this is that they has too cut very deep to make sure they remove the entire wart as even a small part left under the skin can quickly start growing again. This also left scars and the hassle (and expense) of surgery just made it less than ideal.

Because of this many pharmaceutical companies started developing wart removers. They come in different shapes and sizes but the majority of them are designed to kill the wart from the surface of the skin.

These wart removers are either home “freezing kits” or they are topical treatments. Both are extremely harsh and can burn right through healthy skin and be extremely painful. You should take extreme care when using any of these products. Here are some simple tips you should keep in mind:

- always protect the healthy skin around the wart and only apply the specified dose
- when the wart starts peeling off, don’t try and rip it. Leave it to fall off by itself.
- the normal period of treatment is 9 to 12 weeks before the wart will be gone completely. Don’t get impatient.
- When the wart starts bleeding or if it looks like it gets infected you should stop using it immediately and visit your doctor.

Wart removers are harsh on your skin and basically kill the wart by burning it down. Natural wart removal methods are much more gentle and instead of trying to kill the wart from the surface, it works on stimulating the body’s natural defenses. In many cases it works faster, costs less and is much gentler on your skin.
